Back Pain: The Office Environment

Here is a back pain script for you.Rate your pain (physical or emotional) on a scale from 0 to 10.  Tap as your say the following.  Notice if the pain changes as you continue to tap.

  • Even though I can’t control my environment, I deeply and completely accept myself
  • Even though everything feels wrong, I want to be OK
  • Even though I feel like I am not OK, I deeply and completely accept myself

My chair is wrong and I am in pain
It’s a bad chair and it hurts my back
My desk is the wrong height
My computer is slow and might be buggy
The printer jammed
I can’t find my keys
I am really annoyed, really, really annoyed
I’m OK: You’re OK,  He’s OK; She’s OK

  • Even though my lower back hurts on the left side, I deeply and completely accept myself.
  • Even though it is a sharp stabbing pain, I want this tapping to help.
  • Even though the pain seems like a big grey rock, I prefer the color blue.

Left side pain
Left side pain
Lower back pain
Maybe it’s sciatica
Maybe it’s something worse
Maybe I need to call a doctor
It’s a sharp pain
Feels really sharp
Like a hard grey rock
It’s hard
It’s grey
Like a rock
I want to get out of here
Maybe in a rocket ship
My back really hurts
Don’t know what to do
Don’t know what to think
I’m OK: You’re OK,  He’s OK; She’s OK

The long version of the tapping script is available if you ask for it or subscribe to the newsletter.

Ruthi's clients are frustrated with traditional approaches and are committed to getting lasting results. We use a series of mental exercises to retrain the brain to stop the pain signals, and get relief.

You score a perfect 10, not for physical back pain, but for a great sense of humor. Good script which I will keep for any future back pain.

Thanks for the 10. I have to say that my back was so painful a few years ago that I sometimes didn’t know how I was going to get dressed in the morning. I would have to lay on the bed and… don’t ask, it was hard. Now after a lot of tapping, and thinking about my thoughts, my back scores a 9.999. I don’t think about my back anymore and I can get on with my life. It never hurts theses days.

I may be funny, but now my back can laugh along with me:)
And do use the script. My clients have told me that the scripts I write for them do help for pain symptoms.

As a thank you for posting a comment, I am sending you another script.
